PANDUAN IBU BERKERJA MENYUSU BAYI

.
TEMPOH SIMPANAN SUSU IBU
.
1. Suhu bilik - Sehingga 8 jam.
2. Peti sejuk 24 - 48 jam.
3. Dingin beku (peti sejuk dua pintu) - 3 bulan.
4. Peti sejuk beku lampau (-20) - 1 tahun.

HONEY

.
When in distress or difficulty Muslim’s turn to Quran or look to the tradition of their last Prophet, Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) for assistance and illness is no exception. The Quran and tradition (sunnah) mention various foods in the context of their healing properties. Some of the knowledge has been part of the body of healing knowledge in Muslim communities in different countries for a very long time. It is only more recently that some of this wisdom is being supported by scientific research which proves how much healing power many of these food have.
.
One of these foods is honey. Both the Quran and Hadith
(sayings of the Prophet (PBUH)) refer to honey as a healer of disease:
.
'And thy Lord taught the bee to build its cells in hills, on trees and in (men's) habitations..... there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for mankind. Verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought' (Quran 16:68-9)
.
'Honey is a remedy for every illness and the Qur'an is a remedy for all illness of the mind, therefore I recommend to you both remedies, the Qur'an and honey.' (Bukhari)
.
The Prophet (PBUH) has also told us of the healing found within honey for a variety of medical problems, including stomach ailments. It is reported by Al-Bukhaari that a man came to the Prophet (PBUH) because his brother had a stomach disorder. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Let him drink honey." The man returned a second time complaining that no improvement happened in his brother’s case, and again the Prophet (PBUH) responded: "Let him drink honey." The man returned again, and said: "I have done that but to no avail." Thereupon the Prophet (PBUH) responded: "Allah has said the truth, but your brother's stomach has told a lie. Let him drink honey." He drank it and was cured. (Al-Bukhari)
.
Now we know for fact that honey contains antibacterial and antifungal properties, anti-diarrhoeal, wound-healing and anti-inflammatory properties and anti-tussive and expectorant properties as well as nutritional value. Just one example of the practical value of the sunnah.

MAPPING THE GLOBAL MUSLIM POPULATION

The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life has this month published its report "Mapping the Global Muslim Population: A Report on the Size and Distribution of the World's Muslim Population". A comprehensive demographic study of more than 200 countries, it found that:
.
That there are 1.57 billion Muslims of all ages living in the world today, representing 23% of an estimated 2009 world population of 6.8 billion and meaning that nearly one in four people practise Islam.
The top five Muslim countries in the world include only one in the Middle East ‑ Egypt ‑ behind Indonesia, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, in that order. Russia, the survey shows, has more Muslims than the populations of Libya and Jordan combined. Germany has more Muslims than Lebanon. China has a bigger Muslim population than Syria.
.
Of the total Muslim population, 10-13% are Shia Muslims and 87-90% are Sunni Muslims. Most Shias (between 68% and 80%) live in just four countries: Iran, Pakistan, India and Iraq.
Extrapolating the figures from the survey, the Islam that is largely practised around the world, particularly in large swaths of Asia, is more moderate and integrated than its stereotypical characterisation as an often militant and intolerant faith.
.
Significantly, one in five of Muslims now lives in a country where they are represented as a religious minority, with three-quarters of that number concentrated in five countries: India (161 million), Ethiopia (28 million), China (22 million), Russia (16 million) and Tanzania (13 million).

POMEGRANATES

It is HE Who sends down rain from the skies; with it WE produce vegetation of all kinds: from some WE produce green (crops), out of which WE produce grain, heaped up (at harvest); out of the date palm and its sheaths (or spathes) (come) clusters of dates hanging low and near: and (then there are) gardens of grapes, and olives, and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety): when they begin to bear fruit, feast your eyes with the fruit and the ripeness thereof. Behold! in these things there are Signs for people who believe.
(Al-Aníaam - 99)
.
It is HE Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for ALLAH loveth not the wasters.
(Al-Aníaam - 141)
.
In them will be Fruits, and dates, and pomegranates:
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
(Ar-Rahman - 68-69)
.
There are also hadith that mention the fruit:
.
Anas bin Malik (Radhiyallahu anhu) narrated that Rasulullah (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said, "There is not a pomegranate which does not have a pip from one of the pomegranate of the Garden (of Jannah) in it." (Abu Nu'aim)
.
Rasulullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said, "Pomegranate and its rind strengthen digestion(stomach)." (narrated Ali(radhiyallahu anhu), Abu Nuaim, Al-Jozi)
.
Some of the benefits of the fruit include that it has antioxidant, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. In alternative medicine, it has been used to treat diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Extract of pomegranate has been shown to fight against staph, salmonella and some kinds of strep bacteria. In the dental field, it has been found to inhibit the formation of the bacteria that causes plaque, aid in healing after periodontal procedures and reduce signs of chronic periodontitis. In a 2004 study by the Iran National Nutrition and Food Technology Research Institute, type II diabetes patients significantly reduced their cholesterol levels by consuming pomegranate juice concentrate daily.
The fruit is also used in many cures in traditional Islamic medicine.

YOU CAME TO ME

You came to me in that hour of need
When I was so lost, so lonely
You came to me took my breath away
Showed me right way, the way to lead
.
You filled my heart with love
Showed me the light above
Now all I want Is to be with you
.You are my One True love
Taught me to never judge
Now all I want Is to be with you
.
You came to me in a time of despair
I called on you, you were there
Without You what would my life mean?
To not know the unseen, the worlds between
.
For you I’d sacrifice
For you I’d give my life
Anything, just to be with you
.I feel so lost at times
By all the hurt and lies
Now all I want Is to be with you
.
Showed me right from wrong
Taught me to be strong
Need you more than ever
Ya Rasul ALLAH
.You came to me
In that hour of need
Need you more than ever
Ya Rasul ALLAH
.
You filled my heart with love
Showed me the light above
Now all I want is to be with you
.You are my One True love
Taught me to never judge
Now all I want Is to be with you
.
Showed right from wrong
Showed me right from wrong

SMALL ACTS OF KIND

.
Sometimes it takes a very small act to make a great deal of difference. I have a memory of my school years which changed my thinking about the effect of our actions for the rest of my life.As part of a school trip the class was to meet at the local train station and my mum happily waved me off with a £10 note. I had to take the bus to get to the train station and when the bus finally arrived, the driver refused to take my note. Not having any change, I begun to panic, until the lady getting on behind me paid the 20p it cost for a child fare then. Such a small thing, only 20p, but such a big thing to me. It meant I could get to the station on time, go on the trip and not be left out. The lady did not know me but she taught me that sometimes it only takes the smallest action to make a big impact.
.
Sometimes we feel we cannot do much, we feel bound by our lack of resources, our lack of time, our duties, the restrictions on us because of our cultures or our family, especially as woman. But sometimes a very little is enough, a kind word for a stranger, paying for someone’s tea or sandwich because they found their purse unexpectedly empty in the canteen, a visit to your neighbour, a kind word or hug for a sister, calling your parents to ask how they are, even a smile for no other reason than to serve another and be true to your innate fitrah to help others and of course to please Allah (SWT) in the process. Better still, to be a living example of what beauty and mercy there is in Islam.
.
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) has said:
'Your smile for your brother is Sadaqah.'
(Bukhari)
